The mountain is named after the native vision questing sites which can be found half way up the ridge. Vision questing is an Indian tradition, where young men or women retreat individually into nature to fast and seek guidance from the spirits.

The trail head for Vision Quest Ridge is only 1 km from Aurum Lodge and this scramble again rewards you with spectacular views as you climb up this rocky ridge. Scree slopes and serrated rocks require good footing and the fact that you are heading up a ridge with a vertical cliff on the far side may not appeal to everyone, however, once you reach the summit, the panoramic views are one of a kind.

This two hour scramble is probably the easiest and fastest for those looking for a superb overview of Abraham Lake and the entire valley.
