Package B2
Thursday 9th June 2011 (3 nights)
If you love taking pictures while out in nature and wish to improve your photography beyond the snapshot stage, come join photographer team Leslie and Mark Degner of Wilderness Light Photography, to learn about image taking skills and techniques that allow you to create great images with virtually any type of camera.
Now into the third year, this event is for all the ladies who are keen on improving their photography but feel uncomfortable with the technical aspects of their camera and how to use the variety of features of a good point and shoot, bridge camera or entry level DSLR to their best advantage. In June, there are ample opportunities from grand scenery, landscape details, close-ups of flowers and more.
The extended weekend course is ideal for either beginners or intermediate photographers. It offers a balance of instruction on basic photographic techniques, composition and avoiding common pitfalls, while spending a fair bit of time taking pictures in the field in a relaxed group atmosphere. The focus is not so much on equipment and accessories but on the overall approach to picture taking, using available equipment.
Thus, any high end compact camera is all you need, although a bridge camera or SLR will work even better.
If you would like to learn more about the event, do contact us.
Participants in our first two ladies only tours were clearly satisfied with the structure of the workshop, which is about 50/50 tuition / hands-on in the field. The level of personal attention provided by two instructors and the flexibility as to choice of subjects and locations was very valuable. Being able to put into practice the new found knowledge over a period of two and a half days was also commented on very favourably.
