| How
about: |
- Ski-joering or dog sledding near Rocky Mountain House are organised by Klondike
Ventures. Enjoy a different winter activity under the expert guidance of your hosts at Klondike Ventures. Because of the travel distance to / from Rocky Mountain House, we recommend booking your day of dog-sledding on the day of arrival or departure.
- Learn
about the traditional way of life of the native North Americans
and our natural heritage by joining a tour or programme
offered by Mahikan
Trails. There are summer and winter programmes available
as well as a choice of different activities / learning experiences.
- Explore
a different area of the foothills and front ranges from
the comfort of Rocky
Mountain Escape's log cabins outside Jasper National
Park (NW of Hinton). Various nature interpretative programmes offered year
round.
- Learn
and enjoy some of the many activities this area has
to offer. The Centre
for Outdoor Education will provide guiding and training
in a variety of activities such as mountaineering, climbing,
caving, ice-climbing, wilderness skills and more.
- From
May to September, guided glacier
walks on the Athabasca Glacier have proven to be
another favourite activity among our guests. In our opinion, far more interesting, challenging, much better value and more environmentally responsible than the polluting snow-coach tours used by most tour operators.
- Looking
for some nature interpretation on guided hikes in the
Banff National Park? Summer or winter, Great
Divide Nature Interpretation is at your disposal in the Lake Louise area.
- World
class fly-fishing in the Foothills? Tailwater
Drifters will take you on yet another unforgettable
vacation experience.
