Dog-sledding
and ski-joering are two fun winter activities which we highly recommend
to our visitors staying in the region for a few days.
No
prior experience and only average physical fitness is required.
You can choose from a one day trip to a multi-day trip with overnight
stay in a wilderness camp. We believe that, in order to get a good
feel for the dogs and actually cover some distance, a one day trip
is the minimum, whereas the overnight trips are a great adventure
in themselves.
We
use different outfitters, in the Nordegg and Rocky Mountain House
area. Trips should be booked well in advance, as they tend to fill
up over the season. Recent winters have not always seen enough snow,
so there is a small chance you may not be able to go, especially
before mid-January. If trips are cancelled due to lack of snow,
deposits will be refunded.
